Shout Out to My Sistah

Many of you may know my little sister Anne. There is a nine year difference in our ages, but I honestly don't remember a time when she wasn't my best friend. Since she is helping me out major while Brad and I are whooping it up on the sea, I thought I would tell ya'll why I likes me some Anne.

See I put pretty pictures of her up. Most pictures I have of the 2 of us, either she has put up or they are really unflattering. Hi Jason.

1. She knows the funny. When she left for Russia I was in a pretty bad funk. Brad didn't know how to help me and I realized that I hadn't laughed much since she had been gone. Now that she's down the street I can laugh all the time.
2. She answers the phone like this. "yee-sh." I like it.
3. She is super generous. If she buys new clothes as she is wont to do, admire it because chances are she will be letting you borrow it until its like yours. (am I right Heidi, or am I right?)
4. She's a planner. She likes to have things mapped out long and hard.
5. The pipes on that girl. Wow. She can sing. She has this whole bushel/light thing going right now, but I read in her resolutions that she is going to set it back on the hill. Go Matthew 5!
6. She appreciates my children for who they are and the sassiness that they have.
7. I really really love having our boys so close together.
8. When I was in high school, I used to take her to stuff because she never really seemed too young, just one of my friends.
9. She expresses her feelings openly. We Hazens really stink at it and she is very good.
10. She is always the first to compliment. I guess that makes her a noticer.
11. She introduced me to the magic of facebook, and I introduced her to the magic of Every Day Food, both of which have changed our lives.
12. She has a great group of girl friends that she works hard to maintain. I am an out of sight out of mind type of gal, so I really admire that.

13. I could go on and on, but have I mentioned I am leaving with my husband? I couldn't do this without you Ann.ee. Love you!

Awww, shucks! This is the first blog ever written about me! Thanks sista, I sure love you! Your children will be well taken care of! (if setting them in front of the TV and bribing with the Wii counts. It counts, right?? ) hehehehe...

I will second that Heather. She is awesome. I can agree about the lending of clothes. She lent me her entire wardrobe when she was pregnant and it rocked. Good luck Anne. Call me if you need to talk to an adult after your first day as mom of 4!

All those things are so true! Especially about maintaining friendships... she is totally the best at that. And I miss her voice too!

You do have a cool sister. I've only met her a couple of times, but to meet her is to like her. Yay for sisters!

Why I totally rule: How I rediscovered my chi

(In order to fully appreciate this post, you MUST put on the background music. Just click the play from youtube. This has potential to be a longagong post so you might as well enjoy some tunes. I did most of my training with these gentleman blasting in my ear. Vampire Weekend, I love you.) Here's the story with the gory details. Why do you tri? On October 18, 2004 I delivered a 16 week old boy in the same room of the American Fork hospital that I lost one six months earlier. (I get pregnant really easily.) The previous week I had seen the doctor and everything was looking good and right on track so yay for me. While the first one was devastating (a whole other post for a whole other day), it was number 2 that changed me. I was so angry at my body for betraying me and not letting me do what I wanted it to do. I figured I was doing all the "right things" with the taking care of myself so therefore, I would be able to carry the babies to term and everyone would live happily ...

I'll go where you want me to go dear Lord, but Primary?!

Brad took the picture of me teaching GD a year ago. I was not pleased. No pictures. Brad took this picture of Max while I was teaching GD a month ago. I was pleased. Pictures of Max are fine by me. Some important thoughts on my new calling: In the 21 years since I have been in Primary as a merrie miss (apparently they are not called that anymore), I have subbed a handfull of times. It was not a success. One time, while subbing for Brad I went into the class and the boys had escaped out the window. All I saw were a set of feet as the kid was leaping out. Another time, while subbing for Brad I used the tie some kid was using and irritating everyone around him with and TIED HIM TO THE CHAIR. Another time, while subbing, the kid sliced his finger on the chair (not the same kid and he was not trying to escape my tying him up.) and ended up in the ER. (and it so happens that his mom is my 2nd counselor. I think that's funny.) I really really really loved teaching Gospel Doctrine. I hope ...

I am not sure if he is showing off his new tie he got for Christmas? He is a handsome little guy!
