Rules of Summer Countdown: #4 Ice Cream Truck Math


For the first time this year you have discovered the ice cream truck. Not wanting to be one to scar you for life by not allowing you to induldge, I shelled out $3.00 thinking that would certainly be enough for you. (as a side note the ice cream trucks around these parts are lacking the sleeper cell terrorist/creepy kidnapper look that I grew up with).

Here's the deal, from now on how about we take that same 3.00 and buy 3 BOXES of ice cream treats so whenever you hear the truck you can run to the freezer and grab one and eat it on the porch? That will also save your mom from feeling like the sugar daddy to all the primary kids in the neighborhood who didn't have any money.

And now when I hear the ice cream truck all I can think of when asked if I have any money is "Yes I do, Yes I do".

Send the kids over. Papa will take care of them. He's a sucker for ice cream! (Although I'm more prone to buy here than in California with the sleeper cell/terrorists at the steering wheel.)

My husband is a sucker for the ice cream truck. It drives me nuts because we too have popsicles in our freezer.

I'll go where you want me to go dear Lord, but Primary?!

Brad took the picture of me teaching GD a year ago. I was not pleased. No pictures. Brad took this picture of Max while I was teaching GD a month ago. I was pleased. Pictures of Max are fine by me. Some important thoughts on my new calling: In the 21 years since I have been in Primary as a merrie miss (apparently they are not called that anymore), I have subbed a handfull of times. It was not a success. One time, while subbing for Brad I went into the class and the boys had escaped out the window. All I saw were a set of feet as the kid was leaping out. Another time, while subbing for Brad I used the tie some kid was using and irritating everyone around him with and TIED HIM TO THE CHAIR. Another time, while subbing, the kid sliced his finger on the chair (not the same kid and he was not trying to escape my tying him up.) and ended up in the ER.
