Count your many blessings day 2: Halloween is O-to the VER

(Wanna know another blessing I should have counted yesterday? When I went for the early morning perusal (the 6:00 am edition) around the neighborhood looking for awesome strollers the camera was in the CAR. Did I put the camera in the car? No. Did I drive the car at all Halloween night? Again no. Anne, can I have a witness to my taking pictures then heading straight out? But the camera was in the CAR.)

So with that in mind, I will proceed with my Blessing of the day. Could not be happier that Halloween is over. Yes, I go full force with all the parties, decorations, and homemade rootbeer and donuts frying in the dutch oven and spiced cider, and sewed costumes, but really. Enough. Already. Prepare your senses for buco images. Because I have my camera back.

Abbie, child of mine, is the only offspring who will scoop guts. Glad there is 2 of us.

Amelia and Max waiting for Abbie's school parade of costumes to start. The smiles on our faces? That's pure donut, peanut butter cup, and diet coke joy people. (and I'm pretty sure for me that's all had eaten at that point in the day)

Hermoine Granger. Scarf by Super Mom. Do not look at the edges. Very Neville-ish.

My Max. The true and original Wild Thing.

Letting his wild rumpus begin.

Amelia as Eloise from the Eloise books. Oh, my mistake. Girlfriend was Eloise at her school party then changed to the famous Ms. Montana. Minus the stripper pole. sigh.

the whole crew

The royal parents dressed the night before. (I don't think I have any pictures of my witch costume on Halloween. Yep. 2 costumes for me.)

Spoiler Alert for another post:
I really should have dressed up as Nancy Drew or anyone from the Bloodhound Gang (when you are in trouble we are there on the double fame). Do you think I am letting my stroller just go? If wandering around with a knife in one hand and a flashlight in the other is any indication, you truly ain't seen nothing yet. I watch way too many crime dramas on TV and I am way too bada$$ to give up my stroller without a super fight. I will spare the deets, but suffice it to say I will be participating in stakeouts. The perps should consider themselves warned.

So happy the camera was found. I will pray the stroller turns up and, let's be honest, that the thieves pay dearly, oh dearly!

O.K. I only have 2 hours until I have to leave for class. And the last hour before class is crunch time because I have to do the final proofread of my paper, cook dinner, take a shower, etc. So please fix your i-phone and hurry up and call me back.

So glad that you found your camera! That has got to be the biggest relief. Don't give up on your stroller....you will find that thing, I just know it!

Sweet! Hermione...super cute. I am going to have to learn how to knit. That might not be a bad idea since I am still sitting here...coughing achey sick. Swine must die!

SO happy about the camera. SO feeling lame at my kids' lame costumes because I do not sew. SO noticing the skinny as well.

Why I totally rule: How I rediscovered my chi

(In order to fully appreciate this post, you MUST put on the background music. Just click the play from youtube. This has potential to be a longagong post so you might as well enjoy some tunes. I did most of my training with these gentleman blasting in my ear. Vampire Weekend, I love you.) Here's the story with the gory details. Why do you tri? On October 18, 2004 I delivered a 16 week old boy in the same room of the American Fork hospital that I lost one six months earlier. (I get pregnant really easily.) The previous week I had seen the doctor and everything was looking good and right on track so yay for me. While the first one was devastating (a whole other post for a whole other day), it was number 2 that changed me. I was so angry at my body for betraying me and not letting me do what I wanted it to do. I figured I was doing all the "right things" with the taking care of myself so therefore, I would be able to carry the babies to term and everyone would live happily ...

I'll go where you want me to go dear Lord, but Primary?!

Brad took the picture of me teaching GD a year ago. I was not pleased. No pictures. Brad took this picture of Max while I was teaching GD a month ago. I was pleased. Pictures of Max are fine by me. Some important thoughts on my new calling: In the 21 years since I have been in Primary as a merrie miss (apparently they are not called that anymore), I have subbed a handfull of times. It was not a success. One time, while subbing for Brad I went into the class and the boys had escaped out the window. All I saw were a set of feet as the kid was leaping out. Another time, while subbing for Brad I used the tie some kid was using and irritating everyone around him with and TIED HIM TO THE CHAIR. Another time, while subbing, the kid sliced his finger on the chair (not the same kid and he was not trying to escape my tying him up.) and ended up in the ER. (and it so happens that his mom is my 2nd counselor. I think that's funny.) I really really really loved teaching Gospel Doctrine. I hope ...

I am not sure if he is showing off his new tie he got for Christmas? He is a handsome little guy!
