Weekly update

Abbie-I didn't see you very much this week because you were busy playing with your cousins. You loved playing with Tino Bambino, Pay Pay, Dee-Dee, and ARRRRj. We really wish they all lived closer and sometimes feel like you get gypped with no cousins nearby.
Woof
Mia Mia-You also loved hanging out with your cousins, especially Uncle Bob. You have been a little sad since they left and wander from room to room looking for them. You are however, still my biggest dirty bird. As I was loading my food in the car on Thursday(many trips with the pies, sauces, potatoes, and such plus Max, clothes to change into--your Dad could NOT be bothered to come up and help me....ahEM) you decided to keep yourself busy with the Costco size vaseline jar Abbie left out in your room. You schmeared it all over your hair, face, sheets, dirty clothes hamper, and clothes. I wanted to scream. Her hair is NOT wet, its just vasegreasy
Note to readers...the only way to properly remove vaseline from hair is NOT by shampooing, using nasty T-fal, but by 3 separate baths and 1/2 a box of cornstarch. Your hair is almost back to normal. The clothes are NOT. You made cake with your dad. That might be your cousin Hal's undershirt and you might owe him a new one.
Max-raindrops on roses, whiskers on kittens, bright copper kettles and warm woolen mittens...and you are a few of my hmm hmm hmm things. (just in case my young reader at home wants to know what I'm talking about...) You started rice cereal this week and after the initial gagging and funny faces hold our arms with the spoon so we would keep it in your mouth. You are going to be a great eater.

That picture of Mia Mia in HAL's undershirt is hilarious! Are you sure it's not one of Max's earlier ones?? Everyone needs a Max.

Is it bad to have a favorite? I don't think so. Listen, Amelia gets to be the most interesting, Abbie gets to be the oldest and Max gets to be the favorite. It seems fair.

Mia's face was so sad when we left, it will forever be burned into my heart. Can't wait till we get to babysit them in June!

Babysit in June?????? What about me? I'll babysit in June . . . or July . . . or August. Not fair. You didn't ask me.

I had a vaseliner once. (Right as I was heading to the temple, of course!) Sorry about that!

As I've said before, that second child tends to me the mess maker - I can think of sharpies on walls, blake ate 1/2 a tube of vaseline once, and about a bizillion bite marks on various items in our old house (like blinds, windowsills, doors, etc)

Why I totally rule: How I rediscovered my chi

(In order to fully appreciate this post, you MUST put on the background music. Just click the play from youtube. This has potential to be a longagong post so you might as well enjoy some tunes. I did most of my training with these gentleman blasting in my ear. Vampire Weekend, I love you.) Here's the story with the gory details. Why do you tri? On October 18, 2004 I delivered a 16 week old boy in the same room of the American Fork hospital that I lost one six months earlier. (I get pregnant really easily.) The previous week I had seen the doctor and everything was looking good and right on track so yay for me. While the first one was devastating (a whole other post for a whole other day), it was number 2 that changed me. I was so angry at my body for betraying me and not letting me do what I wanted it to do. I figured I was doing all the "right things" with the taking care of myself so therefore, I would be able to carry the babies to term and everyone would live happily ...

I'll go where you want me to go dear Lord, but Primary?!

Brad took the picture of me teaching GD a year ago. I was not pleased. No pictures. Brad took this picture of Max while I was teaching GD a month ago. I was pleased. Pictures of Max are fine by me. Some important thoughts on my new calling: In the 21 years since I have been in Primary as a merrie miss (apparently they are not called that anymore), I have subbed a handfull of times. It was not a success. One time, while subbing for Brad I went into the class and the boys had escaped out the window. All I saw were a set of feet as the kid was leaping out. Another time, while subbing for Brad I used the tie some kid was using and irritating everyone around him with and TIED HIM TO THE CHAIR. Another time, while subbing, the kid sliced his finger on the chair (not the same kid and he was not trying to escape my tying him up.) and ended up in the ER. (and it so happens that his mom is my 2nd counselor. I think that's funny.) I really really really loved teaching Gospel Doctrine. I hope ...

I am not sure if he is showing off his new tie he got for Christmas? He is a handsome little guy!
