Another hike

Left the kids sleeping in their beds, did a quick hike, came home with donuts and they didn't even miss us at all! Seriously don't you feel so bad for me that I live in such an ugly place?

Scout Falls

Brad got the hiking bug this summer! So he talked me into heading out on one of them. It POURED on us and made me cranky, but it was so fun to be out with him in nature. And when we made it home a few minutes later he made me tomato soup and tea to warm up

Bradfo hikes Timp

Brad's BFF from his youth called from Boise to announce that he would be in town and would Brad like to hike Timp. This was exciting but a bit shocking for me because, bless his heart, Brad has not done anything cardio wise since his bike race (er, in 09/11). He strapped on his shoes, bought some gu, and headed out. It is after all, in our backyard! Crossing the glacier. Amazing! Just for perspective, the summit is 7.5 miles with an elevation gain of 4580. That makes for a grueling welcome to fitness don't you think? Then! the thunder started! So he made it to the saddle, pointed to the small building at the summit. And. had. to. turn. around. Pointing to our house. I really was amazed at his accomplishment and it made me appreciate how lucky I am that we live so close to this beauty! Good job Brad and thank goodness for glucosamine!

Rainy day camping

My little mishap

Brad expects me to do the packing of the clothes for trips. I usually do a great job packing for the kids but sometimes stink a bit when it comes to his stuff (I know, tough, why doesn't he pack HIMSELF) He wanted to have his motorcycle riding (get up) and I grabbed his star trek shirt. That is a bit snug. In my defense, they are the same colors. I laughed so hard I nearly wet myself. He looked like such a nerd riding his bike.

Rainy Days and Camping

A day at Trafalga

My two favorite boys had the place to themselves! (well, except for a few homeschooled riff raff)

Squaw Peak

Brad's company goes on hikes in the summer and Brad took advantage of one beautiful morning up squaw peak. The view at the top was worth the steepness. Take a look!

Celebration dinner

The night before the first day of school Brad decided the kids deserved a night out for Mexican food. It was great!

Amelia's Birthday

Amelia's new room

All Amelia wanted for her birthday was for it to be painted. Brad spent a week perfecting it and getting it just the way she wanted. She is so happy!
