Cipher in the Snow

We had a really lame winter snow wise. But this little boy was determined to make the most out of the (small) amount of snow we received.

Couch Position

Max, please don't lay on the couch like that... Not quite what I had in mind...

Kindergarten check up

Max and I had a great date planned for his kindergarten check up. He knew he was going to get shots and a haircut so I promised him lunch and laser tag after. Imagine my surprise when the kid PASSED OUT when they pricked his finger. Such a light weight!

On the way to the museum

I get that I am easily amused. It's fine. But man, I can't wait to do me some camping in the back of the General Patton museum Look it's free! And educational! But don't play on the tanks, because well, that's not camping.

Joshua National Park

Since we were so close to Joshua National Park I convinced Bradfo we really needed to check it out. He may or may not have given me trouble about it because we "passed many Joshua trees on i-15 already." sigh. I was up for an adventure and the kids had no choice so.... Each equipped with their own maps Powering up for the trip with Orange Floats from Fosters Freeze Joshua Tree And don't worry, I definately did my best U2 impression singing in the car to the poor family. I also couldn't resist all the Meep, meep! Road Runner jokes too. It was a funky, Dr. Seuss-y, savage, cool National Park

Christmas 2011

We got home very late (early) Christmas Eve so after sleeping in a bit and trying to unpack the car, the family spend the evening getting our Christmas spirit on. We feasted on a delicious Tribe Family Style "walk around dinner" featuring veggies and dip, chicken wings, artichoke dip, summer sausage, cheese and crackers, wontons, shrimp, turkey sandwiches, clam dip and meatballs. I have to admit, maybe it was the exhaustion talking but I did get a little teary when I thought about the family tradition being passed down to my children. Enjoyed a mostly irreverent play of the nativity story. We decorated a Gingerbread house Read and watched the Nativity Story Spread out some reindeer food Sang Christmas Songs And crossed our fingers that Santa would come!
