One of the things Brad and I love to do is take the boat out in the fall when it gets cooler and grab some lunch together on the boat. It makes for a lovely afternoon for sure!
Since we were traveling on Amelia's birthday we didn't get to the temple for her to do baptisms until a month later. We pulled the girls out of school and I was so glad Abbie was there to help. Abbie was so sweet to help her with all the things and give her some insider tips.
We had the best time trying to get out of the heat and heading to the Uintah's to hike Ruth's Lake. It was a really easy hike and it gave us a nice reprieve from the heat. After we stopped for burgers and shakes in Kamas. It was a great start to the weekend.
Max was just one little thing shy of earning his Bear for Cub Scouts. We went down to the fish hatchery in Springville. It was actually really cool and it was very interesting. Whenever Max would get close to the fish they would become very active and splash up. It didn't happen with anyone else but only with Max and we got a pretty good little laugh from it.
The weather was perfect and we went out for the Utah Lake Festival. There was booths, foodtrucks, music, a sailboat regatta but most importantly there was plenty of water in the lake. Here we have Amelia being really careful with her eyes.
Our Sweet Amelia took her final bow at Lindon Elementary and she is so ready for Jr. High! She was really blessed with great friends, really supportive teachers, and on top of her blossoming and active social life managed to get straight A's. She really works hard and is really dedicated. Look out Oak Canyon here comes Amelia!
We had the fright of our lives a few nights ago when Brad set and left Fernando outside. We were sick with worry thinking that something might have happened to him. I even called animal control to see if there had been any leads. Luckily Lila the Wonderdog sniffed him out and alerted Amelia to his presence.
