The Mother of Geese

Brad's dad has been wanting to dedicate the grave of his parents for some time so the Danielsons (x2) made an effort to meet him in South Lake Tahoe before the Lassen camping trip. It was pouring rain so the actual prayer was brief but it was nice to be able to share that with Grandpa Gary. (Max was terrified to get out of the car. I assumed it was because of the rain. Not so. He didn't want to exit the car because we were at a cemetery and he was sure that we would be attacked by zombies.)

After the boardwalk we headed to the Seymour Marine Discovery Center north of Santa Cruz. It had a really great exhibit hall where we were able to pet a friendly shark, look at jelly fish, and visit the tidepools.

We couldn't be so close to the Boardwalk and not take the kids for a quick visit! The kids were amazed! We chose 1 ride and grabbed a bag of taffy before the crowds set in-it was perfect!
